What is Home Free School?

Home Free School is a new perspective on homeschooling. Our team has been a part of the homeschooling community for over two decades and we know that successful homeschooling requires a different approach than what you might find in your average classroom. We also know that most curricula on the market is not on needlessly expensive, but has not been created to fit the needs of homeschoolers.

At Home Free School, we are working to provide you with customizable tools, designed specifically for homeschoolers, that are a step down in price and a step up in quality. The project is currently in the developing stages, but we intend to have a full K-12 core curriculum available within the next few years. We will continuously be adding elective and alternative courses.

How does it work?

Find your child’s grade level, choose a subject, and start teaching. It’s really that simple. Our lesson plans and instructional videos are all available at no charge to you. The books used can all be found for free online at Project Gutenberg, on Google Books, or Amazon. They be read online, downloaded to your eReader, or printed. If you prefer to have physical books, you can purchase them via our Amazon links and a small percentage of the sale goes to keeping Home Free School running.

How is it free?

We run advertisements on the site and are affiliated with Amazon for book sales to help offset operating expenses. We do ask that you do not run an ad-blocking program when accessing our materials because it inhibits our ability to generate any revenue and running a website is costly. For those who really do not like advertisements, we will be adding an inexpensive subscription service. The content will be exactly the same, but without any ads.

What if I need help?

Homeschooling is tough. It’s even harder when you don’t have access to a support group. If you have a question, want to share a story, or are looking for someone to chat with about homeschooling adventures, post on our Facebook page or tweet with the hashtag #homefreeschool.
